Match Categories Policy at Logans Ferry

All SASS established categories will be honored for main match entry and scoring. One local category, Black Powder Gunfighter will also be honored for main match. No other categories will be available for main match entry. All stages will be set up for SASS cowboy action.

Whatever category entered, if competing for category award, there must be more than one competing in category. Choose wisely, we will not automatically 'switch' category for you, and there will be no award for only one shooter in a category.

We will allow Paladin (one pistol local category) and Josey Wales (four pistol local category) to shoot in the main match. Shooter will be timed and scores recorded on their score card, but not entered into the main match scoring. Scores will be posted on-line in the "Non-Match" page or secondary match page if a secondary match is scored. You may only register and shoot one match for the day.

Secondary Matches:

Wild Bunch will be available at each Logans Ferry match. Wild Bunch will not be scored in the main SASS cowboy match. Wild bunch shooters will shoot the same stages along with cowboys but their scores will be recorded and scored as a separate match, same category award policy. In other words, if two pards shoot Wild Bunch, one in each of the WB categories, there will be no category awards. There will still be a 1st place overall award for WB.

Want to shoot Paladin or Josey Wales as a match competing with your pards? Here is a fun proposition! You arrange, before the match, that four or more  want to shoot one of these separate matches. Four or more of you show up and register to do so on match day, and we will Time score a separate match for you. No sub-categories, overall winner award only. You may only register and shoot one match for the day.
